Srinivasan Swamy, Chairman, RK Swamy BBDO, has been re-elected as President of IAA. This is for the third time in a row that Swamy has been re-elected.
On being re-elected again, Swamy said, “I have been re-elected for the third time. It is for the first time that re-election was done for the third year in a row in the recent history of IAA. We are also entering our silver jubilee year as an organisation since the formal chapter of IAA India was formed 25 years ago. We have identified many activities, 20 different activities that also have multiple events. So it is somewhere close to 60 activities that we are planning to do this year. It will still move up the ladder as the most active association in India. We will have more new faces in the committee and some old faces will continue. 25 years will mark lots of new things for IAA. It has become a very evolved industry body, we are very aggressive. We have advertisers, media and institutes together. We have a wonderful team working together to make all this happen. I’m happy to be a part of that.”
The International Advertising Association (IAA) is a unique strategic institution that addresses the common interests of all the disciplines across the full spectrum of marketing communications from advertisers to media companies as well as advertising and interactive agencies, direct marketing firms and even individual practioners.
The India Chapter of IAA was incorporated in July 1991. IAA-IC promotes the freedom to compete through responsible commercial speech while defending consumer choice.
