Square Communications bags creative duties of Uttaranchal Tourism’s summer campaign

Monsoon may have been elusive so far in the North, but Uttaranchal Tourism Board is gearing up for promoting monsoon tourism in the state and has appointed Square Communication to handle the creative business of the summer tourism campaign. Square Communication won the account in a multi-agency pitch that saw 8-10 agencies in the fray. The account size has been pegged at Rs 25 lakh.

Elaborating on the account win, Square Communications, Creative Head, Victor Ghoshe, said, “The brief was a little tricky as it was targeting Delhiites primarily, and to promote Uttaranchal as a breather to the heat wave and power cut struck Delhi and NCR.”

He further said, “It’s been amazing the way we struck upon the big idea – a cold drink tetrapack with an Uttaranchal visual on it and the supporting header – Uttaranchal - A Refreshing Escape. The print advertisements will be appearing in all main dailies and Hindi papers as well.”

According to Square Communications, President, Navneet Kapoor, “It’s all about team work as we really did not have any time to brainstorm but were still able to crack the campaign in actually no time, which proved to be the biggest idea reassuring our position line again – ‘Square Communications - A zero time turnaround multi-level communication agency’.”

Square Communications is a full-service advertising agency headquartered in Delhi with branch offices in Mumbai and Bangalore. Set up in 1997, the agency got INS accreditation in May 2000. Square Communications handles Ministry of Tourism, India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), Directorate of Information & Publicity, Govt of NCT of Delhi, Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy Sources, All India Council For Technical Education, Office of Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), and IGNOU, among others.
