Sprite is takes a spoof at competition. The latest commercial for Sprite is a scorching spoof on Pepsi's new summer campaign featuring the Big B and cricket whiz Sachin Tendulkar.
The new Sprite film has been shot against a kite flying backdrop, similar to the Pepsi commercial featured against the backdrop of a kite flying competition in Jodhpur.
Created by Piyush Pandey's O&M team, the new film is scheduled to break on electronic media within a couple of days. "Since the target audience for Sprite is teenagers, the new commercial fits with the brand image," the agency sources added.
Meanwhile, the electronic campaign for Brand Sprite based on the existing `all taste....' theme will continue to be aired simultaneously, the company spokesperson added.
According to industry estimates, the clear lime segment accounts for 4.5 per cent of the carbonated soft drinks (CSD) market, which is currently estimated at about 250-270 million cases.
