Spikes Asia 2012: P&G Asia is Advertiser of the Year

Spikes Asia Festival of Creativity has adjudged P&G Asia as Advertiser of the Year for 2012. The Award will be given away during the festival to be held in Singapore from September 16 to 18.

Terry Savage, Chairman of Lions Festivals, observed that since the launch of the Spikes Asia Festival four years ago, P&G Asia has won a number of Spikes Asia awards – five Gold, 11 Silver and 11 Bronze trophies across different disciplines – Design, Digital, Direct, Integrated, Media, Outdoor and Promo & Activation – with work produced by their agencies from across the region – China, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia and The Philippines.

“This is clearly a testament of their commitment to engage their consumers by not only embracing, but also expecting creativity in their product communications around Asia,” he added.

Freddy Bharucha, Chief Marketing Officer, Asia, P&G, who will receive the Award, commented, “At P&G, we continue to believe strongly in the power of brand building, inspired by the consumers we want to serve. Through our brands and the brand building programmes behind these brands, P&G is committed to touch and improve consumers’ lives in small but meaningful ways.”

For the record, Procter & Gamble Company (P&G) had entered Asia in 1935 with the acquisition of the Philippine Manufacturing Company, and has since expanded its presence to 46 markets across Asia.
