Satyajit Sen to bid adieu to ZO, to join Samsung India

Satyajit Sen, CEO, ZenithOptimedia is set to exit the agency. He is joining Samsung India, highly placed industry sources have confirmed. In his new role, Sen will report to Ranjiv Singh, who recently joined Samsung India as Marketing Head. (Ranjiv Singh joins Samsung India as Marketing Head) .

Sen had joined ZenithOptimedia in September 2006. He was elevated to CEO in 2009 from Managing Director (North), and has been with the agency for over seven years now.

Prior to joining ZenithOptimedia, Sen was Vice President, Mediacom, where he had two stints. Prior to that, he was with Maxus Delhi as General Manager.

Sen brings on board over two decades of rich media experience in his new role at Samsung India, which includes his role as a Media Controller in Ogilvy India, and Associate Vice President at Initiative media.

He had started his career as a media planner with FCB in 1990.

There was no confirmation received from either Satyajit Sen or Ranjiv Singh at the time of filing this report.
