Consumer electronics major, Sansui, has signed Indian cricket captain Rahul Dravid as its brand ambassador for its range of television and home theatre systems. The company plans to launch an aggressive multimedia campaign soon across platforms.
Anil Khera, Director & CEO, Sansui India, said, "It has always been Sansui's vision to bring the best in entertainment technology to the country. With this campaign we are charting a new path of sustained precision, quality and constant innovation."
The endorsement aims to synergize the characteristics of Sansui televisions with Rahul Dravid, namely, precision, performance, reliability and constant development.
Khera further explained, "We wanted someone who embodied the qualities of Sansui. In Dravid we found just that. He is a role model for most young Indians and being among India's most admired sportspersons, he is the right ambassador for a company that has a pan-India presence."
Sansui's choice of Rahul Dravid as their brand ambassador was based on the fact that he has scored more than 7,600 runs in Test cricket with 20 centuries and more than 8,000 runs in ODIs. In 2004 he was chosen ICC International Cricketer of the Year.
