Sanjay Ramakrishnan will be coming on-board IceCream Labs as Co-founder and President and will focus on global growth of the company’s brand engagement solutions.
Prior to his new role at IceCream Labs, Ramakrishnan was the president and country head of Neo@Ogilvy.
IceCream Labs focuses on deriving context out of the visual web (images and video) and helps brands to engage with the same.
On his appointment, Ramakrishnan said, “I am excited to join IceCream Labs as a Co-founder. This is my first true entrepreneurial journey. I fell in love with the core technology and the possibility it has of building a large global business. Visual web is an exciting and emerging space. I believe the amount of images and videos that we consume will only increase with time and we, at IceCream Labs, are well positioned to build products that will cater to audiences globally.
Ramakrishnan comes on board with 16 years of marketing and general management experience out of, which he has spent the past eight years leading teams to drive hyper growth in the digital advertising, e-commerce, and consumer tech space. He has taken nascent start-ups and transformed them into hyper growth large businesses (Myntra, Vizury and Neo@Ogilvy ) through innovative marketing, sales enablement and business strategy.
At Neo, Ramakrishnan established two business units and grew the revenue eight-fold. A business unit that catered to digital marketing needs of Indian brands and a “centre of excellence” catering to Ogilvy’s global clients.
Ramakrishnan is involved with Microsoft ventures as a mentor and has an MBA from Xavier institute of Management & Entrepreneurship.
