Samsung has a range of six MiniDV models in the product portfolio priced between Rs 24,990 and Rs 44,990. Said Zutshi, "We want to lead the technological innovation in the Indian marketplace with our products. We plan to sustain the excitement by launching three new MiniDV models next month."

The company aims to notch up over 15 per cent market share this year. It plans to sell around 25,000 camcorders, said Ruchika Batra, General Manger, Corporate Communications, Samsung India.

As part of the promotional strategy, the company will be aggressively pushing the new range of products through exclusive Samsung outlets. TVCs and print campaigns are also being planned.
