BARC’s Top 10 Brands list under their Across Genres category for the week 51 (December 17-23) saw insurance company Sahara India Life Insurance leading the chart with 14,194 insertions after being in the fourth spot the previous week. It displaced telecom player Airtel Cellular Phone Service to the second spot with 13,197 insertions. The recent list saw an insurance company taking the number one spot after a long time.
Patanjali Range of Products, Snapdeal, Google Maps, Goodknight Active Plus and Cadbury Fuse entered the list fetching third, fifth, sixth, eight and ninth spot with 8765, 8264, 7607, 6264 and 6248 insertions respectively.
Idea4G and Vivo V5 slipped to fourth and tenth spot with 8634 and 6234 insertions respectively while Dominos Quattro Formaggi Burst maintained its seventh spot with 6722 insertions.
In the top 10 Advertisers list, FMCG firms Hindustan Lever and Patanjali Ayurved maintained their top two spots with 66,922 insertions and 33,064 insertions respectively. The new entrants this time are Procter & Gamble, Godrej Sara Lee and ITC Ltd who claimed third, fifth and seventh spots with 20,143, 15,813 and 15,380 insertions respectively.
Marico and Smithkline Beecham moved up to fourth and sixth spots with 15,904 and 15,413 insertions respectively.
Meanwhile, Brooke Bond Lipton India Ltd, Ponds India and Bharti Airtel landed up at the bottom of the list at eighth, ninth and tenth spot with 15,308, 15,074 and 14,263 insertions respectively.
