Saatchi & Saatchi has been assigned the creative mandate for mobile operator Shyam Telelink Ltd. Confirming the news, a senior official of Shyam Telelink has pegged the account size in the region of Rs 120 crore. This is the first time that Shyam Telelink has hired an ad agency.
Shyam Telelink had called for a creative pitch three months back in which leading ad agencies are believed to have had participated.
Confirming the win, Sanjib Dey, Executive Vice-President and Branch Head, Saatchi & Saatchi Delhi, said, “We are really thrilled about winning this business. We will be undertaking both ATL and BTL activities for Shyam Telelink, which includes TV, print, radio, and outdoor, among others.”
Prasun Kumar, GM – Marketing, Shyam Telelink Ltd, said, “We liked the entire approach that Saatchi & Saatchi brought to the table, and their understanding of the telecom segment and consumers was significant. Hence, we decided to go with them.”
Shyam Telelink has got the pan-India spectrum for launching CDMA mobile services in India in early 2010. Russian corporation Sistema holds a 70 per cent majority stake in Shyam Telelink.
