Ruby Bana to join Carat as Regional Strategy Director

Ruby Bana, who stepped down from Madison Media last month as Chief Strategy Officer is likely to join Carat as Regional Strategy Director, confirm sources.

In her new role she will look after Mondelez’s Chocolate and Cheese Business for APAC. According to the sources, the date of joining has not been finalised yet but will be confirmed soon.

Madison Media brought Ruby Bana on board as Chief Strategy and Insights Officer for its Bangalore office in September 2011. Bana’s previous assignment was with Havas Media, where she was Chief Intelligence Officer for Havas Media APAC Region. She was based in India, but covered the territory of India, China, Indonesia, Australia, India, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia.

She has over 21 years of experience in media, spanning strategic planning, insights and hardcore media planning and buying, working with media agencies like Havas Media, Maxus and GroupM. She has worked on a wide spectrum of brands ranging from Danone, Reckitt Benckiser to Britannia, Titan, Himalaya, Phillips, Shoppers Stop, Mitsubishi and many others.

Bana is an alumnus of Delhi University.
