Reliance Communications has called for a creative pitch, which is still in its initial stages and is taking place in Mumbai, as confirmed by industry sources. The account size estimated to be upwards of Rs 250 crore.
Grey Worldwide is currently handling the creative duties of Reliance Communications. The agency had won the account in 2010 from Cartwheel Creative.
Reliance Communications had created a buzz with a series of TVCs with brand ambassador Anushka Sharma, who was roped in by the brand in 2011 to highlight the benefits of its ‘Unlimited Talk Time’ and ‘Call Connect’ features. The first TVC series featured Ranvijay Singh with Sharma and highlighted the ‘Unlimited Talk Time’ feature, followed by the introduction of the second series that highlighted the brand’s family plan.
Reliance Communications is also slated to launch its 4G services by August this year as Reliance Jio Infocomm. As is known, Bharti Airtel announced the launch of its 4G services in Bangalore last week. The 4G battle is expected intensify with the launch of Jio Infocomm.
