Rohit Adya moves from Vodafone to Reliance Industries

 Rohit Adya, former Director - External Affairs at Vodafone, has moved onto, Reliance Industries as President- Strategy at the Chairman’s Office since April 2015.

Adya has been at Vodafone for over a decade and joined the telecom giant when it was Hutch in 2004, as CEO heading UP East & West circles, his various roles at Vodafone included CEO Vodafone India and Operations Director – West Vodafone India Limited. At Vodafone, he led the External Affairs portfolio for Vodafone India - overseeing Corporate Affairs, Corporate Communications, External & Public Policy, Reputation Management, Government Relations, Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility via Vodafone Foundation initiatives.

Before his stint at Vodafone Adya was Asst Vice President Hindustan Times for two years. His other stints also include Director, Frost & Sullivan , Chief Executive Officer, Vijay Television  (A part of the UTV Group), General Manager / Country Head, Times Card(The Times of India) and Divisional Manager, Usha International.
