RMG David bags a bronze at New York Festival

The eagerly awaited results of the New York Festival are out — RMG David has bagged a Bronze for its ad film titled Missing Bar for One plus Gold Capsules. Though, it was already known that the agency would bag a medal – the announcement of the Bronze has added to the joy and excitement.

Amit Nandwani, Senior Copywriter, RMG David wrote the script, while Prasad Raghvan, for whom it was a debut, directed the film. Josy Paul, Country Head & National Creative Director was the driving force behind the 45 second ad film.

The brand is handled out of Delhi. Says Nirmal Pulickal, Associate Creative Director, RMG Delhi, “Of course we all are excited. Once you send the entry, you just keep your fingers crossed. We have won a finalist certificate at London festival and we were also shortlisted among Best of Asia Pacific of Ogilvy. This time around, it is metal and not a certificate alone – it doubles the joy.”

Discussing the ad film, he states, “Virility capsule One Plus Gold is targeted at masses, more so in rural areas. It is such an area where a person’s imagination can really run riot. The humor in the film can be seen as coarse or crude by a few. But the ad is truly clutter breaking. It is the kind of commercial that you notice, remember and discuss.”

The ad film is set in a rural area, and to create the real impact, instead of creating a set, a village near Nimrana was hired. The result, as we see, has been rewarding and the plan now is to enter the film at One Show and Cannes Awards as well.

Pulickal divulges that it has been a winning year for RMG David, Delhi. “We are four creative people here, and we have bagged seven or eight awards this year, among them, One Show, Media Age Bronze, Two finalist certificates at LIAA and then an award at Graphis as well.”

The credit for the wins, as per Pulickal, goes to Paul. “Josy has been with us every step of the way, always there on the shop floor with the rest of us. Though he has administrative responsibilities as well, his creative energies are always charged and flowing,” he says.
