RK Swamy BBDO has gained yet another international recognition. This time the agency’s work has been selected for the prestigious One Show Rx exhibition, hosted by The One Club. The exhibition features pharmaceutical work that has been marked as best from around the world.
This year the format of the show has changed from an awards competition to a judged exhibition. RK Swamy BBDO’s work that has made it to the top comprises three posters done for Abbott and a press ad for IndusInd Bank.
Said, Chandrashekhar Vaidya, Senior Creative Director, RK Swamy BBDO, “These achievements have excited all of us tremendously as it was a conscious decision to raise the bar and deliver work relevant to the category packed with novelty, besides meeting international standards. While I was working on it I knew that it will win an award.”
The first of the award winning posters done for Abbott’s had the headline ‘No.1 for No. 2’, which was done for Cremaffin – a laxative. The baseline read ‘No More Constipation’. The creative team that worked on it comprised Vaidya and Vivek Nayar.
The second one for the same product had a stark red rubber choke remover as the visual with the baseline saying: ‘No More Constipation’, while the third poster had an oversized basketball trying to push itself through the basket ball ring with the baseline: ‘No More Constipation’.
The fourth one was the No Tobacco Day ad for IndusInd Bank, which showed tobacco leaves shaped like burning lungs; the headline said: ‘Still want to smoke?’ The creative team on this comprised Vaidya and Varghese Chacko.
Said Vaidya, “In fact, all these achievements have put our creative teams in an ‘overdrive mode’ and geared up for greater challenges in the future.”
