Pharma Direction, the specialist pharma practice of RK Swamy BBDO, has won two awards at The Rx Club Show. The Show is a New York-based international show that honours creativity in the field of healthcare advertising. The entries are judged in various categories by a panel of industry experts and are based solely on creative concept and execution.
The two campaign entries on ethical brands, sent by RK Swamy BBDO – one, on an anti-dandruff shampoo Danclear, and the other, on a cough syrup, Zeet – will receive the Award of Excellence honour from the Show.
Commenting on the wins, R Vishwa Mohan, COO, Pharma Direction, said, “Our quest has always been to take the healthcare communication to the next level. We have always believed that this industry holds great potential to do some excellent work. Winning the international Rx Club Award is the fruit of our relentless pursuit of achieving highest standards of creative work.”
The Danclear campaign focussed on the premise that while other anti-dandruff shampoos took care of dandruff, they left hair rough and dry, whereas Danclear retained its smoothness as it contained aloe vera. The Zeet campaign, however, took a very innovative approach in a market cluttered with done-to-death ideas. It harped on the ‘sound’ factor coughing created and promised that Zeet silenced the sound of cough.
At this point, The Rx Club Show has announced only the winners. The Gold and Silver awardees would be announced on the opening night in New York on November 28, 2007.
