Reuters Consumer Media India has appointed Quasar Media as its agency on record (AOR) for its Indian digital operations. Reuters Consumer Media India is a division that looks after Reuters’ direct-to-consumer business. The account size couldn’t be ascertained at the time of filing the report.
Quasar Media will take care of Reuters’ holistic communication strategy from media planning and buying to creative conceptualisation to mobile marketing and all other digital initiatives.
S N Bhaduri, General Manager, Reuters India, said, “We chose Quasar Media following a multi-agency online pitch as they had come up with the best insights and we were quite impressed by their work. Our website was launched in September 2007.”
Deven Dharamdasani, Associate Media Director, Quasar Media, said, “The brief we got from Reuters was to increase the number of unique pages and users in India.”
He added, “It is great to be associated with a global leader. We aim to create a communication that works well with Reuters’ undisputed image. Internet as a medium provides unlimited opportunities to showcase the brand. We at Quasar will try to bring it out with the right media mix. The first campaign of Reuters will break in January 2008.”
