May’s gone and June’s here, and with the change of months, monsoon is here! Even as Mumbai is basking in the aroma of wet Earth soaking in the first showers of the season, it’s time to wash away the heat and start afresh…
Speaking about rains, it is raining events in our world of media and marketing as well, especially at exchange4media. Last week, the group held the grand finale of the Star News MQ 2011. Along with all the fun at the event it was also an evening dedicated to knowledge. For me, the excitement was all the more since Team Mumbai lifted the winner’s trophy.
This week has ended with the second edition of exchange4media Indian Digital Media Awards (IDMA), held in Mumbai on June 2, 2011. The who’s who of the industry was there at the Awards to felicitate the best work in digital media done in the last year. And hard work reaped rich dividends at the Awards.
As far as my work is concerned, it has been a week of some misses and some gains. As industry veterans say, having competition is good. It motivates us to stay one step ahead.
Coming back to events, July will see exchange4media’s flagship event – exchange4media Conclave – take place. Continuing with the top notch honchos as participants at the Conclave, this year will see industry stalwarts like Nitin Paranjpe of Hindustan Unilever and Dominic Proctor of Mindshare Worldwide, among many others, sharing their thoughts and views on the e4m dais.
