Reporter’s diary: It’s raining events, hallelujah!!!

 May’s gone, June here and with the change of the month, monsoon is here! Mumbai was soaked with the aroma of mud when it experienced the first shower of rain. It’s time to wash away the heat and start a whole new season.

Speaking about rains, similarly in our world of media and marketing too it’s been a raining season of events especially at exchange4media. Last week, the group held Star News MQ 2011 grand finale. No doubt it was a success but with the success, it was an evening to gather good knowledge. Mind you, it was knowledge with fun! The excitement got doubled for me with Mumbai Team winning the grand finale title.

Well, that was the story of last week, and this week ends with the Indian Digital Media Awards (IDMA).  The second edition of the exchange4media Indian Digital Media Awards was held in Mumbai on June 3, 2011, where the best work in digital media in the last year will be honoured. So the excitement level has increased witnessing agencies and other winning teams celebarating their wins. Afterall, hard work gets paid.

As far as my work is concerned, it has been a week of some misses and breaking news. Thanks to our competition, it makes us feel alive in this business. So having competition is good stands true when some of the industry veterans say so!

Coming back to the raining events, July will too see yet another event from the exchange4media group. And this time it’s going to be e4m Conclave, the flagship event of our group and none the less, its shall be even a better one with industry stalwarts like Nitin Paranjpe of HUL and Dominic Proctor sharing their thoughts and views on the e4m dais.
