Rediffusion-Y&R appoints Amitava Sinha as COO

Amitava Sinha, who was elevated as Chief Operating Officer – East and South last year, has been appointed Chief Operating Officer of Rediffusion-Y&R. He will take over the additional responsibility of the company’s Delhi office with immediate effect. Abhik Santara, Vice President of Rediffusion-Y&R Delhi will report to Amitava Sinha.

Under Sinha’s stewardship the agency will aim to deliver better synergies to the brands that it works on through a larger talent pool and enhanced collaboration between offices.

“I am excited to work in a market as large and challenging as Delhi. My focus will be on delivering cutting-edge communication solutions to all the brands and pursuing growth aggressively,” said Sinha.

Sinha has over 25 years of experience in marketing and advertising, having worked with several large clients such as ITC, Eveready, Reckitt, Bata, Tata Steel, Berger Paints, Spencer's, Ananda Bazar Patrika, United Spirits and Arvind Fashion, among others.

He joined Rediffusion-Y&R in October 2003 as head of Kolkata operations and subsequently assumed a group role. During his nine years in the agency, he has played a pivotal part in growing business significantly in the east and south.
