Rediffusion DYR to handle creative, TME media duties of Viacom18’s new GEC Colors

A day after announcing the launch of its new GEC, Colors, in Bangkok, Viacom18 has unveiled the names of the agencies that would handling the communication. While Rediffusion DYR will handle the creative duties, TME has been appointed to handle the media duties for the newly-formed GEC. Rajesh Kamat, CEO, Colors, has confirmed the development. The marketing ad spend is pegged in the region of over Rs 50 crore.

Kamat said, “We are happy to have Rediffusion DYR and TME on board as the creative and media agencies for Colors. In fact, Rediffusion has been on board now for the last few months and has also played an integral part in the designing of the channel’s logo.”

He further said, “We had invited three other agencies besides TME for the media pitch and decided on assigning the media duties to TME following the pitch.” However, Kamat did not divulge any details about the other agencies invited for the pitch.

This apart, Rameet Singh Arora has been appointed as Head of Marketing for Colors. He moves from Leo Burnett.
