Rediffusion DYR will now be known as Rediffusion Y&R, having dropped Dentsu from its name. Designed in-house, the agency has assumed a new identity to take on a fresher hue of the aquamarine colour and incorporates a younger contemporary font. The new identity will also see a dash of colour completing the new identity.
On the new identity, Diwan Arun Nanda, Chairman, Rediffusion Y&R, said, “We started an association with Young & Rubicam over 20 years ago, which developed into a robust partnership. The new identity is a symbol of that affiliation. It is a relationship that we cherish and are proud of. These are exciting times for us as we’ve had a very successful period on every front. The new identity captures our evolution over the recent times.”
On the reason for letting go Dentsu from its name, Mahesh Chauhan, Group CEO, Rediffusion Y&R, explained, “The change has come because DYR as an entity has been migrating to call itself as Y&R. As for the agency, it means being true to the long term partnership that we’ve had with Y&R.”
He further said, “There has been a transformation of sorts that we have witnessed. We wanted to capture the flair, energy and youth that now pervade the organisation. And hence, felt the need to refresh our identity to mirror this change.”
The new identity also entails a change in the email ID for all employees, while a new website is under development.
