Rajasthan Patrika is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this month, with March 7 being its Foundation Day. At a function on Saturday to mark this milestone, Information & Broadcasting Minister Jaipal Reddy told a gathering of ministers, bureaucrats, journalists, and luminaries from the corporate and advertising world, “Newspapers are an important pillar of democracy and Rajasthan Patrika has played a significant role in it.”
Said Gulab Kothari, Editor and Managing Director, Rajasthan Patrika, “We’ll always be one with the readers and the people of Rajasthan. We’ll not only bring their problems to light, but help solve them too. We’ll fortify the spirit of Rajasthan and be the soul of truth, always.”
Rajasthan Patrika began operations in 1956. Today, the newspaper has 12 editions in Rajasthan and is also being published from Bangalore and Chennai in the south and Ahmedabad and Surat in the west. Recently, it started publishing a Delhi edition. The newspaper had a readership of 73.53 lakh nationally as per NRS 2003.
Rajasthan Patrika has bagged the SOPA Award for ‘Excellence in Reporting’ and the IFRA Award for ‘Best in Printing’ - two of the most coveted international awards.
