Rahul Dravid appointed Gillette Winner ambassador

Gillette has roped in Rahul Dravid as its brand ambassador. With this brand endorsement, Dravid joins an elite club of global sportspersons, including Roger Federer, Thierry Henry and Tiger Woods, all of whom endorse the men’s grooming brand.

Dravid will be integrated into the Gillette Winner brand programmes in India, which will be leveraged through multi-faceted marketing initiatives, including print and broadcast advertising, consumer promotions, POS materials, online support and public relations. The Gillette Winners programme is a new platform that builds on the brand’s rich history in the world of sports and epitomises these sportspersons’ commitment to ‘Be your best today’. Dravid now becomes the fourth sport icon to join this exclusive Gillette Winners league.

Dravid said, “I am extremely honoured to be chosen as Gillette Winner and being among the great global sporting icons of the Gillette Winners Programme. In cricket, having confidence is essential, and a critical element of confidence is looking and feeling good. I believe an effort to be the best today with well-groomed looks, right attitude and happy state of mind reflects on your performances.”

Sumeet Narang, Marketing Manager, Gillette, said, “The Gillette name is synonymous with being the best. Rahul Dravid has proven what it takes to be the best today and to be a winner on the pitch. He was chosen not only for his outstanding sporting performances, but also for his performance off the field, for his ability to inspire young men, for being every bit the gentleman that he is, and above all, he is an icon of true sporting values. That is what a Gillette winner is all about.”
