Quadrant bags Alcatel, Voltas accounts

Mumbai-based advertising agency Quadrant Communications has bagged two new creative accounts — Alcatel and Voltas Golden Jubilee, both expected to fetch a combined billing of Rs 20 crore.

The agency’s billings are estimated to be in the region of Rs 80-90 crore. The advertisements will be released in two months.

Quadrant Communications is an Interpublic group agency, with 49 per cent equity held by the Kirloskar group and the rest by Interpublic.

The agency has won the best TV commercial (TVC) award in the Toshiba World Tour 2004 held at Singapore on July 23. This is the only award in the category. The commercials judged best TVC were ‘Tansen’, ‘Lion’, and ‘Romeo Juliet’.

Noshir Desai, president, Quadrant Communications, said, “I feel this is not only an achievement for Quadrant but for Indian advertising.

“The management group of Toshiba meets periodically to review advertising works that is being done by various agencies for Toshiba around the world.”

The Indian entry was selected out of entries from 46 countries.
