Purple Focus makes a hat-trick by winning a gold and two bronze at the International Creative Summit Awards, USA, for its extraordinary creative work for Naiduniya, a regional newspaper, and Pinnacle World, a company which specialises in contemporary Italian Furniture Chain.
While in 2003, the agency won a gold, in 2004 it bagged one silver and one bronze.
Rahul Vaidya, Director, Purple Focus, said, "One of the most important factors that helped us in achieving this moment for fame is the unconditional support from our clients. Our clients have always given us the complete freedom to work the way we wanted to do, which is the reason we could deliver well."
Vaidya is upbeat about the winning spree. He said, "the show will go on with an ambitious target. We have set up a Delhi branch and are looking at an ambitious target. We have plans to double the client base this year and are working towards it."
This year agency's Gold winning entry is a direct mailer, which was extensively used for the launch of Naidunia, a regional newspaper from Gwalior. The mailer was a simulated newspaper with some news columns cut out and removed and the message reading "Ab kata chhanta nahin, puraa sach!" (Now, no more slashed or chosen, just whole truth). While the agency's Creative Director, Vinod Bhargav, conceptualised the idea, Anurag Yadav executed the design. Copywriter Aarish Nandedkar framed the message. The mailer has not only worked wonders for the client but is also ranked best in the Direct Marketing - Consumer Category at the Summit Awards, USA.
Winning the bronze award in the Consumer Magazine Category is an advertisement designed by the agency for their client Pinnacle World - Contemporary Italian Furniture Chain. An advertisement created by the agency, appealing to the public to use their right to vote, is also awarded with the bronze award in the Public Service Newspaper/ Magazine Category.
The International Creative Summit Awards, Portland, US, are established as one of the arbiters of creative excellence for agencies with annual billings under US $20 million. The awards have now become a coveted recognition for these agencies internationally. More than 3,000 entries from over 20 countries like Australia, Canada, China, England, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Russia, Singapore and the United States, were received this year by agencies.
