Publicis strengthens leadership with trio of Bobby Pawar, Partha Sinha, Ambika Srivastava

Publicis Worldwide today announced a stellar new leadership team for South Asia and India. Bobby Pawar joins as Director, Chief Creative Officer – South Asia; Partha Sinha as Director, Chief Strategy Officer South Asia; and Ambika Srivastava as Director, Marketing and New Business India. All three will join the Management Board of Publicis India and report to Nakul Chopra, CEO South Asia.

Chopra commented, “I am delighted to have people of such exceptional calibre join our leadership team. Each is arguably among the best in their specialisations. I am very confident that each of them will add greatly to the quality of our output, to the quality of Publicis management in India and most importantly to the value we can deliver to our clients.”

The trio brings to the table a varied range of strengths. In her previous role, Srivastava was the Chairperson at ZenithOptimedia and Chairperson, VivaKi Media Exchange. After 14 years at JWT as Media Planner, Srivastava joined Lintas as Associate Director, Strategic Media Planning, followed by three years at McCann Erickson as Executive Director – Media Services.

For Sinha, Publicis Groupe is no stranger. He quit Southeast Asia, Publicis Ambience and Publicis India as Chief Strategy officer in 2008, and in his various avatars, he has been with Citibank, Ogilvy and Zee TV.

Pawar, known for Silent National Anthem and making India proud at Cannes during his stint with the Mudra Group, started his career with a small agency before he got a break at McCann. Later, he moved to Rediffusion, before getting into the Ogilvy & Mather Mumbai team where he spent around five years.

Publicis Groupe has set itself the ambitious target to double its size in India between 2010 – 2015 – aligned with the Groupe’s commitment to strongly boost revenue from fast-growing markets and digital. In keeping with this goal, Publicis Worldwide – the flagship agency of the Publicis Groupe had in December 2012 announced the acquisition of iStrat – a digital agency based in the National Capital Region and MarketGate an upstream Marketing Consultancy based in Mumbai. Now with these recruitments, Publicis Worldwide makes yet another substantial investment – this time in ‘best in class’ talent that will undoubtedly help to greatly strengthen their offering to clients and will add to their fierce ambition to grow.

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
