Publicis bags Nilgai Foods Media mandate

Publicis has bagged the media mandate for Nilgai Foods. The account will be handled by the agency’s Mumbai office.

Founded in 2011 by entrepreneurs Arjun Gadkari and Abhay Jaiswal, Nilgai Foods is in the packaged food space with their brand of sauces called Pico and Cocofly fresh natural coconut water.

Gadkari said, “We are excited to be working with Publicis Beehive. It is clear that the team thinks about media differently from other agencies, and focus first on finding the right consumer before formulating a plan to target them through effective campaigns. We believe that packaged coconut water in India will become the hot topic of this summer, and we are confident that our brand COCOFLY can be seen as the market leader in this nascent market with the help of Publicis Beehive’s contribution.”

Sanjit Shastri, CEO, Publicis Beehive said, “This is an exciting space to be in – as consumers are increasingly conscious of what they consume on a daily basis.  We see Cocofly as a clear winner – given the sheer goodness of the product and the dynamism of the leadership team at Nilgai.”

The group released the Little Hearts online-only campaign, #BreakSomeHearts, early this year and is on the path to make many more of its brands available on the digital platform
