Prem Mehta appointed Lintas India Chairman

The Board of Directors at Lintas India yesterday announced the appointment of Prem Mehta as Chairman of the Board. Mehta was earlier the Vice-Chairman. He succeeds Dr. Ranjan Banerjee.

In addition to being Chairman, Mehta will continue his role as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the company. He has been leading Lowe for 11 years now.

Speaking on his appointment, Prem Mehta says, "I aim to continue the legacy of integrity, commitment and compassion that was epitomised by Dr. Banerjee. His strength and dignity were an example we all need to emulate."

As reported earlier, Dr. Banerjee, Chairman, Lintas India passed away on January 31. He led the Board of Lintas India for over 23 years. Mehta says, "His passing away is the end of an era. He was an honorable man whose values of integrity, commitment and compassion were important to him above all else - above any form of self-interest. His strength and dignity could only be an example for us."
