Piyush Pandey named Vice-Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific

Piyush Pandey has been elected as Vice-Chairman of Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific by the agency’s Regional Board.

Pandey will continue as Executive Chairman and National Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather India, where under his leadership since 1994 the Group has been recognized by the industry as India’s most creative agency ten times in the last eleven years.

In 2004, Pandey had the honour of being the first Asian to be president of the Cannes jury. In 2006, he was inducted into Ogilvy’s Worldwide Board.

Miles Young, Chairman of O&M Asia Pacific, commented, “I can’t think of anyone who better embodies the values established by David Ogilvy or who better symbolizes the excitement of Indian.”

Young further said, “The combination is lethal. Piyush contributes not just to the development of our brand but to the industry as a whole in a remarkable way. While he remains firmly based in India, we need his management counsel up and down Asia. India is becoming quite fundamental to many of our clients’ strategies in this part of the world, and when Piyush speaks for India he also speaks for Asia.”
