Percept goes all out to celebrate 25 years

It is not everyday that an agency gets to celebrate its Silver Jubilee. So, Percept Ltd is understandably very excited about completing this landmark and has lined up a slew of activities. These range from panel discussions on event, entertainment and communication verticals, group photo sessions and, of course, parties.

exchange4media had reported in January 2009 that Percept had launched a special website,, to mark the completion of 25 years.

A grand party has been organised at the Grand Hyatt in Mumbai in the evening of July 18. There would be a group photo session with all members of the Percept family, followed by a welcome address for delegates by Ajay Upadhyay. Shailendra Singh and Harindra Singh, Percept’s Directors and Promoters.

Completion of 25 years is a time to reflect, celebrate the successes and take pride in achievements, and also a time to reinvent and innovate – the mantras that Percept holds dear.

Amitava Mitra, Director, PerceptH, said, “It has been a path-breaking 25 years, because no other agency group in the country has a basket of communication offerings as we do. The next few years are going to be more exciting and more challenging. Also, our edge as a group offering complete 360 communication solutions will come to the fore and will keep us ahead of the rest.”

Bringing some gravity to the celebrations, panel discussions have been lined up on event, entertainment and communication verticals. The topics for discussion would range from ‘How to prevent Commoditisation of Advertising’ in the communication vertical, which will have personalities like KV Sridhar, National Creative Director, Leo Burnett; Josy Paul of BBDO; Colvyn Harris, CEO, JWT India; Shashi Sinha, CEO, Lodestar Universal; and Anil Dua, Senior Vice President - Sales & Marketing, Hero Honda on the panel. ‘Catch Me if You Can’ in the media vertical with eminent personalities like Bhaskar Das, Executive President, Bennett Coleman and Company Ltd; LV Krishnan, CEO, TAM India; Prashant Pandey, CEO, Radio Mirchi; Sandip Tarkas, President - Customer Strategy, Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd; Tarun Katial, COO, Big 92.7 FM; and Anisha Motwani, Executive Vice President Marketing, Max New York Life. ‘Bollywoodisation of Brands and Properties’ in the entertainment vertical, which will have Paritosh Joshi, President, Star India; Neeraj Roy, MD and CEO, Hungama; Andrey Purushottam, Vice President, Mahindra & Mahindra; Harish Dayani, CEO, Moser Baer; Rajesh Sawhney, President, Reliance Entertainment; and MK Anand, Business Head, Zoom Entertainment Network. The guest speaker for the panel discussions is Pawan Munjal, MD and CEO, Hero Honda. The discussions will conclude with a vote of thanks by Ajay Upadhyay.

The Percept Awards and entertainment ceremony is lined up for the evening, followed by dinner and cocktails.
