Panasonic brings Leo Burnett on board for corporate & home appliances creative biz

Leo Burnett has been assigned the creative duties of Panasonic corporate account and home appliances such as refrigerators and washing machines. Sabiha Kidwai, General Manager – Marketing, Panasonic, has confirmed that the account size is pegged at Rs 100 crore. Dentsu Marcom is the incumbent agency.

It may be recalled that in September 2008 IBD India, a Percept-Hakuhodo company, had been assigned 50 per cent of Panasonic’s creative portfolio, which includes the Viera LCD and plasma TV range and Lumix digital camera range.

Meanwhile, Panasonic has also called for a pitch for its media mandate. Currently, the media duties are being handled by Allied Media.

Kidwai further said, “Leo Burnett will be handling creative plans, corporate branding and home appliances.”

The agency will be doing 360-degree work on the Panasonic range of home appliances involving TV, print, OOH, Internet and BTL activities.
