Oxygen Communications recently bagged the CyberMedia account following three rounds of presentations. Qxygen has begun work on the account from the first week of January. The incumbent agency was Triton Communications.
CyberMedia (India) Ltd is a specialty media and services company with nine publications in the IT, telecom, consumer electronics and biotech areas. It is also involved in the end-to-end media value chain, including the Internet, events and television.
Oxygen Communications Executive Director, Tarun Das, while refusing to divulge the account size, said, “The size of the business is quite substantial.”
Commenting on the win, he said, “We will be working for their magazines – ‘PCQuest’, ‘Dataquest’, ‘Living Digital’, ‘Voice & Data’ and ‘Global Outsourcing’. The contract started in the first week of January.”
Speaking about the brief given to the agency, Das said, “CyberMedia’s major concern was that the reader and advertiser couldn’t differentiate between the magazines ‘PCQuest’ and ‘Dataquest’. Also they were in process of re-launching ‘Living Digital’ and ‘Global Outsourcing’.”
“Even after three decades of IT presence in the country, the IT space is in need of some solid and robust creative communication. Two factors contribute to the immediacy of inspiration in this sector – ever dynamic creativity in software and intense competition,” Das added.
