Optimum Media Solutions (OMS) has bagged the media duties for Ganjam, a luxury brand in the jewellery segment which has been in the business for nearly 100 years, following a multi-agency pitch. The incumbent agency is Starcom. Based in Bangalore, Ganjam also has offices in Mumbai. The creative duties are handled by Large Smith and Walford, a London-based brand consultancy firm which has an outfit in Bangalore called RainMakers.
Suresh Subrahmanyan, Marketing Consultant, Ganjam Nagappa and Son (P) Ltd, said, “In OMS we found ourselves a strategically sound and fundamentally strong media partner, who will provide the inputs that our brand needs to meet some very challenging short and long term brand requirements.”
He further said, “Being a luxury brand, our media requirements are rather unique. In OMS we found a perfect fit hence, our decision to go with the agency as our preferred media partner.”

He added, “We are not looking at mass media, but a niche reach with print advertising in fashion oriented magazines and association with lifestyle events. Though we will not do a commercial, we are definitely looking at associating the brand name with certain lifestyle programming. The brand name is popular, but we are looking at building brand engagement.”
