ONGC empanels three agencies for its Rs 50-cr corporate account

ONGC has finalised three agencies for its corporate account which include RK Swamy/BBDO, Equus and the incumbent Grey Worldwide. The account size is in the region of Rs 50 crore.

Confirming this to exchange4media, D.K. Das, Deputy General Manager, Corporate Communications, ONGC, said, “Out of the 20 agencies that were in the fray, we have finalised these three because of their all-India presence, turnover, ability to handle large corporate accounts and strength in multimedia advertising.”

The agencies’ role would be to develop creative solutions for repositioning the ONGC brand, Das informed. On a turnover of Rs 50,000 crore, ONGC made a net profit of Rs 14,000 crore last year. “We are looking to grow at a fast pace as a fully integrated multinational and our corporate identity is a critical aspect in this endeavour,” said Das.

On the account win, Ashutosh Khanna, Senior VP, Grey Worldwide, India said, “ONGC was happy with us in the way we have serviced them in the past and we hope to continue servicing them with enhanced quality of our work.”

Recently, Grey Worldwide had bagged the creative duties of the ONGC retail business.
