VETA, an academy for teaching spoken English, has appointed O&M as its creative agency following a multi-agency pitch. Rediffusion DYR, Law & Kenneth, JWT and Contract were the other agencies that had taken part in the pitch. RK Swamy BBDO is the incumbent agency. The account size is pegged upwards of Rs 12 crore. The media duties of VETA are handled by Mindshare.
“We were on the lookout for an agency that could give us a detailed approach plan and to take the brand to the next level and O&M fitted the bill. O&M's overall approach was good and, therefore, we have decided to go with O&M,”' said Sreenadha Reddy, National Brand Manager, VETA.
VETA has set aside a budget of Rs 12 crore for the current year and is set to further increase the brand spend from next year.
VETA, earlier known as Vivekananda Institute, is Asia's largest English training academy. Founded by V Rajagopalan and Ganesh Ram in 1981, it has 175 centres across India and offers courses through direct class coaching and distance education mode. The academy is looking at extending its operations and would add another 100 coaching centres soon.
