Reacting to the development, Prasoon Joshi, Executive Chairman and CEO, McCann Worldgroup India and President - South Asia said, “One Show is a great honour... So, fingers crossed and look forward to winning a few Pencils.”
Speaking about the entries that have made it to the finalists’ list, Rajiv Rao, National Creative Director, Ogilvy India remarked, “Yahoo is a very simple idea with powerful execution. The Ogilvy Persian entry is very interesting because of the way it is executed – Ogilvy written in Persian is very similar to Ogilvy written in English language. The work on WWF is unique, it has used the fact that dates on calendars are the same every 12 years. Hence, 12-year old calendars were sourced and 2013 was reprinted on them, the message was to save paper and ink.”
Among the other Indian agencies that have made it to the finalists’ list are BBDO / Mumbai with four finalists, Leo Burnett India with three finalists, Out Of The Box with two finalists, and Taproot India, BBH India and Mumbai-based agency Breathing Space with one finalist each.
