Noshe Oceanic has bagged an ice-cream account recently, that of Lucknow-based Gloria Ice-creams. The agency will be handling both the creative as well as media duties. Percept earlier handled the business for a period of three years.
Gloria Ice-creams has been into the ice-cream business for the last 21 years and has around 25 retail outlets going by the name of ‘Gloria Scoop Shoppe’ and ‘Dezzert Parlours’. There are plans to open more outlets in other cities of UP.
There wasn’t any formal pitch for the business. Both Noshe Oceanic and Percept had made presentationst. The company, it is learnt, would be spending around Rs 1 crore on marketing activities for the brand over a period of a year and a half.
Commenting on the reason for choosing Noshe, Chetan Bhalla, Marketing Manager, Gloria Ice-creams, said, “We liked their creativity. The theme that they presented was appealing too. We saw their past activities and liked them.”
Anupama Mehrotra, Associate VP, Noshe Oceanic, also underlined the agency’s creativity as the winning factor.
When queried on the reason for changing the agency that handled the brand for three years, Bhalla, said, “The change was required to infuse the brand with new ideas along with better thinking.” Added, Mehrotra, “We look at giving a complete overhaul to the brand. At present our focus would be to increase the sales and maximise footfalls.”
