Delhi-based Noshe Oceanic is on an expansion spree. After Chandigarh, the agency has now set up its operations in Lucknow from August 30, 2006. Explaining the objective behind getting into Lucknow, Anupama Mehrotra, Vice-President, Noshe Oceanic, said, “We wanted to capture the North India market. Retail is big in Uttar Pradesh and we wanted to cash in on this opportunity.”
The agency will serve markets like Kanpur and Benares through its Lucknow branch. The team for the new operation is still to be put in place. The agency has roped in Rajeev Gupta as Associate Vice-President who will be overseeing operations of the agency's Lucknow and Chandigarh branches from Delhi. He will be also furthering the business in Delhi.
The Lucknow based clients that are being handled by the agency at present include Allen Cooper, Calcutta-In-Style and Gangotri.
Said Gupta, “Noshe Oceanic is one of the leading agencies as far as retail advertising is concerned. It’s a dynamic and vibrant agency. Lucknow, being a mini-metro, is growing in retail and is poised to grow further. I look forward to the challenges ahead.”
Gupta began his career with The Times of India as Advertisement Officer. After spending one and a half years with ToI, he moved to Indian Express, where he spent around nine years. He has also worked with Hindustan Times, Jaipur for a period of two years as Media Marketing Head. Gupta was also associated with India Today Group for two years prior to joining Noshe Oceanic.
