NEW Dentsu Marcom wins Jaypee Group of Hotels account worth Rs 5 crore

Dentsu Marcom, Delhi, has been assigned the advertising account of Jaypee Group of Hotels. Dentsu Marcom will handle both the creative and media duties for the Jaypee Group of Hotels. Four agencies had pitched for the Rs 4-5 crore account.

While the names of the other agencies are not known, Satya Prakash, Head-Corporate, Marketing & Communication, said, “Jaypee Hotels is planning a major expansion over the next two years. We are repositioning our brand, and plan to emerge as a key player in the hospitality sector in India. In line with our growth plans, we are sharpening our marketing thrust and found a fit between Dentsu Marcom's strategic thinking and our plans.”

The agency sure is excited. Ravpreet Ganesh, Director-Strategic Initiatives, Dentsu India, remarked, “The Jaypee Group of Hotels is an interesting new addition to our Delhi portfolio. Our mandate is to build a brand buzz around Jaypee. We are hoping to do some showcase work on this interesting category.”

The Jaypee Group has properties in Musoorie and Agra besides two 5-star properties in Delhi. While the Jaypee Residency Manor in Musoorie is a unique getaway, Jaypee Palace in Agra offers state-of-the-art convention facilities. Jaypee Vasant Continental in Delhi has been renovated and wears a new look and Jaypee Siddharth in Central Delhi is undergoing renovation. The group is looking at adding more properties to its portfolio.
