The shortlists for the 2011 New York Festivals International Advertising Awards have been announced. Leo Burnett leads the nominations from India with seven entries making it to the list.
Leo Burnett features amongst the finalists for Art & Technique + Technology, Collateral, Design and Print. For Art & Technique + Technology, the agency has three shortlists: Tide fold a stain (tobacco vendor) in the Art Direction and Illustration categories, and Gandhijifont in the Typography category. For Collateral, the agency has one shortlist in the Consumer Products category for its work for Tide (fold a stain – mechanic). For Design, Leo Burnett has one shortlist for its work titled Fold Aide Box for client Bajaj Majesty Iron in the Home Items category. The agency has bagged two shortlists in Print: Tide fold a stain and Heinz Sketch Up, both in the Best Use of Medium/ magazine category.
Rediffusion Y&R has four shortlisted entries. For Collateral, the agency has made it to the finalist in the Calendars category for its work titled The Vanishing Sleeves done for Kaya Skin Clinic. The agency has two shortlists for Design: Inside the box thinking for Pioma Industries/ Rasna in the Non-alcoholic Beverages category, and Flit It for marriage counselor Dr Raj Brahmbhatt in the Stationary category. For Outdoor, Rediffusion is India’s sole finalist in the Foods category for its work titled Floating Billboard for client Zydus Cadila/ Sugar Free.
Nirvana Films has three entries in the Art & Technique + Technology Finalists list: all three for the work titled ‘Your moment is waiting’ for Department of Tourism, Govt of Kerala in the Cinematography, Direction and Original Music categories.
The ‘Your moment is waiting’ campaign has also earned Stark Communications a place in the TV/Cinema/Promo Finalists list in the Transportation/ Travel/ Tourism category.
Euro RSCG’s entry titled ‘Sushi’ for client Reckitt Benckiser has been shortlisted in the Home Products/ Services category.
Beehive Communications has made it to the Design Finalists list for its work titled ‘Sketch-A-Card’ in the Stationary category for client Sashikant Gavali (Institute of Rapid Sketching).
