MPG Delhi has brought in Nalini Ravishankar from MPG New York as Managing Director. She will be based in New Delhi and report to Vishnu Mohan, CEO, Asia-Pacific, MPG. Her functions will include bringing state-of-the-art processes from MPG in the US as well as playing a key role in pitching for new business.
Mohan said, “We are really happy to have her on board. Nalini comes in from MPG New York where she was Senior VP. She has worked there for eight years. She has the right kind of experience. As MPG is in expansion mode, she will help us in the area of traditional media and also in creating new revenue streams in India.”
When asked why a person was being brought in from the US, Mohan explained, “Nalini understands the network and the processes very well. She has handled major clients like Johnson & Johnson, MCI, Met Life Insurance, etc., both in terms of strategy planning and management.” Mohan added that the world was “completely global, and other countries have got all the characteristic of India”.
Commented Ravishankar, “I chose MPG Delhi as India has a lot of bright people with good exposure. But processes, systems and communications are better in the US. I will help bring them to India. There is no end to what we achieve, especially since MPG is on a growth path in India.”
Ravishankar started her career with Y&R Global in the US, with whom she worked for 10 years.
