The Ministry of Tourism has decided to share its ‘Bed and Breakfast’ campaign with Span Communications. In a recent pitch called by the tourism ministry for its bed and breakfast campaign, Span Communications has bagged both the creative and the media duties worth Rs 1.5 crore. It is learnt that the Ministry had called the bid from all the empanelled agencies – O&M, RK Swamy/BBDO, Lintas, Ashok Creatives, Grey Worldwide, Crayons, FS Advertising, etc.
Span had played a crucial role in the initial positioning of the bed and breakfast scheme with a print campaign, and now it will be focusing on the electronic media as well. The agency would be playing major role in creating more awareness about scheme and its advantages and encourage people to become a part of it.
Naresh Kheterpal, CEO, Span Communications, said, “The bed and breakfast plan is a new initiative of the Ministry of Tourism. It has been launched to supplement availability of accommodation in the metros and tourist destinations. With the booming tourism industry and Commonwealth Games around the corner, this scheme will definitely fulfil the additional accommodation requirements.”
