Mindshare Malaysia wins media mandate for Telenor’s Digi

Mindshare, the global media agency network part of WPP, has been appointed the media agency for Digi which is a leading telecommunications company in Malaysia and part of global Telco giant Telenor. The appointment of Mindshare Malaysia covers the full suite of strategic and media services. Mindshare Malaysia won the account following a competitive pitch, which included incumbent Starcom and OMD. The appointment is effective 1st January 2016.

Varun Channa, Managing Director of Mindshare Malaysia commented on the appointment, “We are excited to partner with Digi to bring inspiring experiences for consumers through our adaptive marketing approach. This appointment is a testament of Mindshare’s understanding of data and technology and the team’s passion for the telecom category and building market leader brands.”

The win is part of a global pitch conducted by Telenor which saw Mindshare appointed to handle the media business in several key markets.
