Mindshare has announced a series of management changes and key appointments to strengthen the company and position it for long-term success.
Forming part of the core team that will work with Ravi Rao, Leader - Mindshare South Asia, the new structure will see M Parthasarathy, better known as Maps, head the Client Leadership team. Hitherto, Maps was the Leader - Business Planning at the agency. Alok Sinha will now oversee Strategy enabling ‘no-line’ thinking across India. And Sandeep Pandey will spearhead Consulting & Intelligence, which involves analytics and modelling for better ROMI (Return on Marketing Investment).
There are no changes in the role of Anita Karnik, who will continue to handle Branded Entertainment and Activation and also in the roles of Jai Lala and Ashok Lalla, who will continue in their current roles managing Exchange and Digital.
Rahul Thappa is the ‘new’ hand at the agency. Thappa comes in to manage North and rest of Mindshare South Asia, as Chanchal Chakrabarti is expected to move in the region within the GroupM fold. Thappa has also been entrusted with business operations in Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Thappa, who is no stranger to Mindshare, comes back to the agency after a span of two years from his last position as MD of Mindshare Malaysia and very recently the COO of Mail Today.
Speaking on the restructuring of the company, Ravi Rao, Leader – Mindshare South Asia, said, “With this infusion of senior talent and expertise, I am looking forward to beginning the year with the Mindshare mantra: Original thinking that brings in thought leadership, innovation that aids in brand growth. Fuelled by great ideas, intelligence and analytics, the focus will be on growing our existing clients behind a strong strategy and thrust in digital. We have competent teams and the changes we are announcing will ensure continuity in each role, while enabling us to broaden our team’s experience and capabilities – something that will be important as we continue to drive new business and grow our market share.”
