Mindshare Bangalore bags Mantri Developers; Chirantan Chandran moves as Principal Partner, Client Leadership

Mindshare Bangalore has bagged the media duties of real estate player Mantri Developers. The business was won following a multi-agency pitch. Lintas Media Group was handling the business earlier. Though the size of the business could not be ascertained, Mantri Developers is estimated to have spent close to Rs 5-6 crore in the last financial year and is expected to increase the spends this year. This would be significant, considering that it is one of the leading realty players in the Bangalore market.

In another development, Chirantan Chandran, who was Partner, Client Leadership, Delhi (non-Pepsi portfolio) and East, has moved to Bangalore as Principal Partner, Client Leadership, Mindshare, South and East. He replaces Abhijat Sharma, who has moved to Mediacom as Regional Director in the UAE.

Chandran has been with Mindshare for close to five years now, first based in Kolkata and later moving to take care of Mindshare North and East, including heading the agency’s Delhi office too. He was General Manager, Mindshare North & East.

On his new role, Chandran said, “My mandate is to consolidate Mindshare’s fragmented businesses in the South market and drive synergies across them. In doing so, also consolidate Mindshare’s position as the leading agency in India.”
