MediaMonks firms base in Asia; sets up shop in Singapore

MediaMonks, an independent creative digital production agency from Europe, opens up shop in Singapore. Singapore, after London and New York, is the third overseas office, reinforcing plans to become an independent production agency micro-network.

The Singapore team already works on major regional campaigns for agencies such as BBDO, BBH and Saatchi & Saatchi. MediaMonks Singapore is led by Joris Pol, a five-year Monk veteran who was instrumental in the success of the London office.

Commenting on the foray, Joris Pol, Managing Director, MediaMonks Singapore said, “Singapore is the regional advertising hub in Asia. There is a wealth of talent and ambition at the agencies we work with, especially when it comes to digital and mobile. Our way of working here is similar to our processes in Europe and North America: the agencies come up with the big idea and we take care of a beautiful execution.”

Victor Knaap, CEO, MediaMonks added here, “Opening our doors for Singapore business is a massive step, which allows us to even better service our agency partners on a global scale. During my visits to Singapore in the last year, it was clear that no local agency offered our digital expertise. We believe that building a solid relationship with our agency partners is a model that creates the most value for everyone involved. Now we can do this in the Asian market, from the ground up. We’re not just here to pick up a few sexy briefs now and again; we’re here to stay.”

For the record, MediaMonks had opened its headquarters in Amsterdam in 2001. The company has been awarded by, and recognised at, the Cannes Lions, BIMA, Spin Awards, D&AD, Webby Awards, and Lovies, among others.
