Media Direction wins media duties of apparel brand Blackberrys

Media Direction, the specialist media services wing of the RK Swamy Media Group, has bagged the business of Blackberrys, the flagship brand of Mohan Clothing Company Pvt Ltd. Industry sources peg the size of the business at around Rs 10 crore. The business will be serviced from the agency’s Delhi office, under a team headed by Shan Jain, Vice-President (North).

Confirming the development, Nikhil Mohan, Director, Mohan Clothing Company, said, “Blackberrys is on a growth phase and it is essential for the brand to receive the right nurturing at this stage. Media Direction approached us proactively with a proposition that suited our needs. They then responded to a specific brief. That convinced us on this partnership. It’s a well thought through decision and we are looking at Media Direction to team up with our creative agency not just as a media service provider but as our communication partner to deliver on the overall brand objectives.”

Commenting on the win, S Yesudas, CEO, RK Swamy Media Group, said, “We are truly excited about this opportunity. Blackberrys is a prestigious brand and our focus would be to provide the brand with a captive share of the relevant consumers’ hearts and minds in the most appropriate environments. Our approach is ROI focussed. This is the sixteenth piece of new business for us since our re-launch last year. We are more than delighted with the traction so far.”

RK Swamy Media Group consists of Media Direction, Hansa Media Services, Digital Direction and Radio Direction. The group provides media services to clients including BSNL, SBI, Siemens, Visa, Birla Group, GPI, Ricoh, Sara Lee, Effem India, Abbott, Mercedes and Hawkins.
