MEC India bags Butterfly account

MEC India has won the media mandate for Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances, a stainless steel and kitchen appliance company.

The account was bagged after a closely contested multi-agency pitch, said an official release.

VML Karthikeyan, Executive Vice President, Marketing, Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances said, “In view of our plans to expand our market presence and moving to be a pan India player, we wanted to partner with a national media agency to effectively handle our media planning and buying. Amongst the agencies we reviewed, we found MEC to be a good fit in terms of understanding our business needs, culture, process and people. We are pleased to partner with MEC and hope that this association will bring in a vital difference in our media approach.”

MEC’s Chennai office will handle the account.

MEC India handles clients such as Colgate Palmolive, Britannia, Reliance Industries, LG, Honda, FlipKart, Citibank, Nivea, Zee Network, CavinKare, DHL, Jaypee Group and Accenture.

Kranti Gada joined the family business at Shemaroo in 2006 after a successful stint of over two years in marketing at Pepsi Co. She has been associated with the company for 12 years.
