McCann Worldgroup creates Creative Leadership Council; Prasoon Joshi appointed Chairman

In its process of looking at the creative product the organisations and finding ways to increase its creative performance, Nic k Brien, CEO, McCann Worldgroup, has formed a Creative Leadership Council. The leadership role as Chairman of this Council has been bestowed on Prasoon Joshi, Executive Chairman and Regional Executive Creative Director, Asia Pacific, McCann Erickson.

The new role of Joshi as Chairman, Creative Leadership Council, McCann Worldgroup, is going to be a global role. He will, however, continue to carry out his duties as Executive Chairman and Regional Executive Creative Director, Asia Pacific, at McCann Erickson. Teaming with Joshi for the Creative Leadership Council are six other talents across the networks. These officials were appointed on the basis of merits and their past track records.

Speaking on his new role, Joshi said, “It is an honour to be bestowed with a global responsibility. It’s a great opportunity to look at a worldwide responsibility and bring out the best of creativity globally.”

This kind of a development is believed to be significant for McCann Worldgroup.

In October 2007, Joshi had been elevated to Regional Executive Creative Director, Asia Pacific. He was previously Regional Creative Director for South and South-East Asia. Joshi currently is responsible of all McCann operations in the Asia Pacific region. This includes all operations in South East Asia – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, China and Australia.
